Safety Services

90Works offers safety services that require the caregiver to voluntarily agree to work to change the circumstances that present a risk to the child. Self-sufficiency is impossible if you are unsafe and living in violent situations such as substance abuse, child abuse and/or domestic violence. In these cases, every day life is crazy and chaotic, making stable work, income and parenting hopeless. Our services provide in-home services for High and Moderate risk families in an effort to reduce the occurrence or recurrence of child abuse and neglect.

Stability Services

Stability is the goal for the 90Works model. We provide intensive case management for people that are living in crisis situations like homelessness, poverty and family violence. The first line of defense is to make sure that they secure stable and affordable housing. Once housed, we work on gainful employment that can sustain the housing burden. Next, we complete a household budget that is monitored regularly. 90Works makes an investment in the form of temporary financial assistance (TFA) for those customers that are committed to the process. We provide initial funding for deposits and first month rent to help move them from in-crisis and vulnerable to safe and stable.

Support Services

Becoming self-sufficient requires support to make life improvement changes. For high-risk pregnant women, it is dire that they eat well, reduce stress, eliminate substance use/abuse, see a doctor regularly and secure safe and stable housing for the baby. Our family support workers make routine home visits to support mom in this new experience of health, wellness and parenting and a clinical social worker provides in-home counseling services when needed. 90Works offers a series of life skills classes such as Home Maintenance taught by our building contractor that repairs substandard housing to prevent child removal for hazardous conditions and improve safety. Health and wellness is taught by a certified personal trainer to decrease depression and anxiety and improve self-esteem and self-awareness. 90Works offers an after school program for high risk children to learn life skills through physical activity. Additional classes include topics such as: Household Budgeting, Parenting Education, Resume Writing and Interviewing, and Safety Planning. We have a Tree of Hope program for those that don’t have any disposable income after paying bills to buy Christmas gifts for their children. Cycles for Success is a bicycle donation program that offers a new bicycle to a working customer that cannot afford a car.
